Catalyst Weekly Lake and River Levels Update – April 23

Subject: Weekly Update (April 23 2020)

Good day, Conditions are currently in good order with a controlled 25 cubic meters per second (cms) flow from the lake. The lake level appears to have stopped going down with the flow reductions from last week. On Wednesday last week the weir was put into operation and by end of day, the boat lock gates were lowered. On Friday flow adjustments began and the flow was lowered to seasonal 25 cms target flow. With more snow in mountains than last year and more water in lake and with rainfall predicted in coming 7 days the current flow of 25 cms could be sustained.

(Brian Houle, Environmental Manager, Catalyst Crofton)
