Our River, Our Future – Public Meeting, Oct 25
The fall rains have finally arrived and water levels in the Cowichan River are beginning to recover, but the underlying problem of managing our community's water supply, for both humans and the salmon, still needs to be addressed. Come meet key decision makers and join the discussion about the Cowichan River flow issue at a free public meeting at the Quw'utsun' Cultural Centre tomorrow evening, October 25th at 7pm
Guests include Cowichan Tribes Chief Harvey Alphonse, CVRD Chair Rob Hutchins, Catalyst General Manager Rob Belanger, and former federal Fisheries and Environment Minister the Hon. David Anderson.
This meeting will be held starting at 7pm at the Quw'utsun' Cultural and Conference Centre, 200 Cowichan Way, in Duncan. Here's a map.
We'll talk about where the issue is at, where it should go, and how we can work together to get there.
