Isabel holds a BA (Hon) in political science and global development studies from the University of Victoria. She specialized in political economy, and is passionate about the intersections between community planning, ecology, and regenerative economic development. She is a third-generation Canadian of European, Ukrainian and Venezuelan descent who lives gratefully in Quw’utsun territories.
Through her support role as an admin assistant for the Cowichan Watershed Society, she enjoys learning how Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities enact co-governance and work together to care for the watersheds they call home. In her free time, you can find her swimming in wild water, getting muddy at ecological restoration events, or on the couch with a book and her cat, Fenris.
