Crysta Charlie (Xuletsulwut Tun’ ni’ tsun’ ‘utl’ S-amuna’) is a proud Quw’utsun hwulmuhw youth with a deep commitment to learning and sharing traditional knowledge of the land and waters. She will begin her first year of university this fall, pursuing studies in child and youth care, and has already completed her prerequisites.
Crysta is passionate about reconnecting with her culture and supporting her community. She has actively participated in Tribal Journeys, first paddling to Lummi in 2019, and has developed a strong interest in marine species and their habitats through those experiences. Her goal is to blend traditional teachings with her educational journey to support future generations.
She is eager to contribute to the work of the Cowichan Watershed Board, deepening her understanding of the Quw’utsun Sta’lo’ and the lands that sustain us.
